Rivers Rarity
2006, Bay mare, mature 16.2+ hh
IHB Rio de Janero x RR Coralanne

This is the first of our Rio de Janero foals to be started under saddle. She is out of a Northern Classic mare who is full sister to the River Range bred horse "Liaison" who is being successfully campaigned at FEI Dressage by Claire Wallace of Lexington Farm, Queensland.

This mare is absolutely stunning in her looks and correct in her conformation in every way. She has amazing lift, power and cadence in her paces and a very trainable, unflappable, temperment to go with it. She is expected to mature over 16.2hh, already standing over 16.1hh at 3 years of age

Rarity has proven to be a joy to ride and train throughout her early training. She has a lovely soft response to the bit and a natural round uphill frame combined with forward, rythmic paces, which includes a super uphill balanced canter. She doesn't show the full extent of her movement under saddle as yet as she is just too relaxed about everything but when she is fired up the power and lift in her paces is just breathtaking and remains very rideable.

Ongoing training and competition option is available.

Price $22,000

Rarity attended her first dressage competition on 27 Feb 2010, after just 8 weeks under saddle and surpassed all expectations. She is so calm and willing and was an absolute pleasure to take out. Placing 8th out of 21 horses, scoring 65%.

Rarity competed in her first Preliminary competition 10/4/10. Just 12 weeks under saddle

Rarity attended a Qld Young Rider clinic with 15 year old Courtney aboard on 24/25 April. Courtney's usual ride injured herself in the week before the clinic and she was offered the ride on Rarity. As we have come to expect, Rarity was exceptionally well behaved despite the new rider and new venue.

Rarity attended her second official dressage competition 18 June 2010 and outperformed many much older more experienced horses

This a super quiet gelding who has been successfully campaigned at preliminary and novice dressage level for the past 18 months and is currently training up to medium and competing elementary since April 2010. Liberty finds the collected and lateral requirements for the higher levels easy and will have no problem progressing further into Medium and Advanced dressage levels in the future.

Liberty is extremely quiet to handle on the ground both at home and competition and is also a very easy horse to travel, with a relaxed outlook at competitions, never going off his food or water when away from home and requires minimal warmup at competition.

While not huge in his movement he has 3 good paces, including a canter which collects and elevates easily, and is enjoyable to ride and train which makes him suitable for almost any level of rider.
